- Providing specialty building & custom design services focusing on the renovation of historic properties in the Hudson Valley, luxury residences in New York City, lighting design, and unique projects requiring creativity and craftsmanship in the face of technical design and construction challenges.
Background:
- Collaborated with engineers to devise and implement an innovative approach to the renovation of a 19th century Dutch post & beam barn that maintained the integrity of original exterior and gambrel roof, while complying with current building codes for residential dwellings. Replaced foundation, installed new structural columns, beams, roof sub-structure and roof. Oversaw sub-contractors. Managed project budget
- Directed a project for the French Culinary Institute to create a wall of fame featuring hand molds of the great chefs of the world. Developed a system of molds and a specific concrete mixture for casting hand imprints of 50 chefs at the 20th Anniversary Gala. Currently negotiating with Institute for the installation of project at their New York City facility
- Presently managing the total renovation of an 18th century 2500 square foot stone house. Created a drainage system to halt environmental damage to building. Designed and led renovation of original basement kitchen. Relocated bathroom and shower installing new plumbing systems without visually impacting original character of room. Interviewed, hired and directed subcontractors in all phases of building renovation.
MJM STUDIOS OF NY INC., Rock Tavern, NY
Production Coordinator/Fabricator
Managed the design and fabrication team charged with building a unique collection of faux design elements featured in thematic hotels and casinos worldwide. Translated designers’ concepts into finished products. Oversaw installation and maintenance of structures. Worked closely with engineers and designers to ensure structural integrity, durability and cost control of projects.
- Managed $800,000 renovation of the Mohegan Sun Casino 6000 square foot retail shopping corridor at the north entrance. Designed and directed the renovation of four retail shops and the fabrication of glass fiber reinforced concrete thematic elements. Oversaw quality of workmanship and installation, while ensuring no negative financial or operational impact to the Casino.
- Under the direction of the Rockwell Design Group produced 32 hand-strung glass bead panels totaling 16,000 square feet for Mohegan Sun Casino. Researched domestic and overseas vendor sources. Investigated various material options. Oversaw the production of panels on site at multiple locations in India. Total construction budget for manufacturing and installation $16 million dollars.
- Managed the 100-hour per month maintenance program for thematic elements at Mohegan Sun Casino. Led a crew of four artisans. Prioritized projects and oversaw maintenance, repair and cleaning of fabricated structures and sculptures, which included using aerial lifts to access installations up to 90 feet above floor level.

Worked as lead set designer under the direction of Matthew Barney, one of the world’s top grossing and most influential artists of his generation in producing major sculptures and highly complex film sets in remote locations.
- Managed construction crew in fabricating sets and elaborate sculptures that played a pivotal role in the Cremaster series of highly acclaimed art films.
